Twas a hot day in Wellington and what way to kick off a weekend; a wedding! I love Friday weddings. Everyone is hard at work in their offices, worksites, schools and colleges whilst we were out and about shooting Tammy and Ryans wedding.
Silverstream retreat hosted the day and the ceremony took place overlooking the bush in the Hutt Valley. Under a blue sky this setting is delightful.
Tammy loves water, so the river seemed an appropriate place to have an afternoon picnic with the bridal party. New Zealand rivers are wonderful places for photographs as the setting often reflects an unpretentious natural feel and there is something very earthy about stone and water.
The noodles took care of the entertainment in way of dancing through the night, and they were their usual excellent form.
Top wedding tips
Have your MC or Celebrant announce instructions for formal group photos after the ceremony. It greatly speeds up this part of the day.
Comfy shoes for the bride and bridesmaids are a great idea if your planning on climbing over river stones of rocks. Pack some up at take some with you - you wont regret it!
