If you're looking to dine out in Martinborough, there's plenty of cafes and restaurants to choose from but for Shiree and Matt a simple setting in Martinborogh Square itself played a centrepiece in their wedding on a hot summers day in January.
Festooned with candelabras, moet and of course chocolates this romantic couple entertained their bridal party with a flair of sophistication and surrealism.
I asked them how they would like to remember their days together as a young couple 20 years from now, they talked about entertaining and dining in as being their favorite pastime so it only seemed fitting that our wedding photography touched on this, oh, and Matt’s love of the Beatles encouraged us to shoot at least one mock Beatles album cover, namely a hard days night.
The ceremony was held at St Anthony’s of Padua and the reception was hosted by Coney Wines. Dress Brides on Thorndon and makeup by the wonderful Dara Wakely.
Wedding top tips:
-Putting the dress on early gives you time to relax
-If you are going to have petals thrown after the ceremony, leave the church first as usual and then sneak around the back and once all the guests have left simply exit again.
