The grandparents got married on this special date many, many years ago AND so did the parents... now Sarah and Andy have exchanged vows and to help mark their day they pottered around the Wairarapa in a classic "52" MG (Sarahs grandfathers car).
There is nothing quite like the romance of an open-top vintage car, and a picnic in the long grass.
The couple were married at Coney Wines in-between fleeting showers, the ceremony outside in front of a classic vineyard backdrop.
After the ceremony the bubbles flowed, the guests mingled and we got to work shooting some off-the-cuff candids.
For the bridal formals I wanted to highlight their love of travelling and their nostalgia with the MG that they like to borrow and escape to the Wairarapa in.
A dusty track, an old style suitcase and a hitch-hiking bride lent itself to the story.
The reception at Coney Wines went down a treat with the team at the vineyard venue laying down their typical hospitality.
The Supermodels are a really, really cool covers band and they had everyone dancing until the grapes ripened with one particular highlight being the bride jumping on the drums and beating her way through an old blondie number... extremely well!
