Pushpa and Jon’s wedding was a blast of colour, henna, sparkles and blessings, however unlink most Hindu weddings this ceremony didn’t have a million guests, just an intimate handful of around a hundred.
The ceremony itself was a condensed version of a Hindu ceremony and lasted only 2 hours. It was translated for the English speaking amongst the guests.
The civil ceremony took place afterwards as is generally the custom followed by family blessings and some bridal photos in Blair Street, Wellington, a favourite haunt of the couple and a place that marks the beginning of their commitment.
After a dash about town it was back to the Tea Gardens for some ballroom dancing and wining and dining the evening away. Thanks Pushpa and Jon for a great day and great moves.
-If you think something is going to take five minutes, allow ten, if you think something is going to take fifteen minutes allow half an hour. Be over abundant with your time allowance at every part of your wedding day, that way you will not rush, panic or try and keep up.
