Shannon and Manesh Pauhatahnui Wedding

Hindu weddings are always a guarantee of colour vibrancy and contrast. Rooted in meaning and tradition. The ceremony, long by Western standards, rarely fails to deliver rituals and incense, great for photographers.

Shannon a young pakeha girl fell in love with her Eastern Prince in high school and on a blustery Saturday they exchanged vows at the Lodge in pauhatahnui. A stop off at the inlet overlooking Whitby was cause for merriment and bridal photos and despite the drizzle and chilling breeze the guys put on their best brave faces and had some fun.

It was also great catching up with to other couples we had shot weddings for over the last few years – it’s a small world!

Thanks Shelly, Angela, Yvonne, Anna, Dale, TJ, Richard and Scott for being such a cool wedding party, thanks Shannon and Manesh for your stress free fun loving attitude and a very special thanks to Shirly the Mother of the Bride for lending us her car when our Landrover decided to be typically European and broke down! You’re a Gem Shirly!
