What a picture! We have photographed many weddings in Taupo and love it every time, and being the wedding photographers for Marie and Nick earlier In March really open the field up for us.
The ceremony and reception was held at Oreti Village, Pukawa Bay, 45 minutes from Taupo whilst the backdrop of the lake, lined with native tress and bush really set the ceremony apart.
Marked with beautiful weather, it was tearful event with family and friends sharing the couples joy. We took to the lake front for the bridal formals and there we found an old rustic jetty that screamed out for some Bride and Groom wedding photos. For Marie, the area was close to her heart as her family hails from these parts, so it was important to capture the spirit of the region.
Almost every wedding we photograph these days, we find ourselves meeting up past clients who are guests. This is mainly due to word of mouth recommendations that tie a lot of our wedding clients together. It so cool to catch up with everyone again and it reminds me of the important role wedding photographers play.
Their first dance was a great lesson for any engaged couple ready to wed. Nicks Mother helped to coach the two of them on their routine and she helped them focus on the enjoyment and the ride and not the correctness of the moves. And the advise was clearly taken up because they both danced long with an infectious smiley, enjoyment that held the crowd in rapture. Go guys!
A big thanks to Maree, Melissa, Haley, Michelle, Amber, Gwyn, Conrad, Michael, Brad, Reed and Danny for being realy realy cool. And a stupendously big thanks and hugs to Marie and Nick for being such an amazing , WOW couple!
